Thursday evenings hold a special place in Bonner Springs. Throughout the summer, the Bonner Springs City Band performs, continuing a cherished community tradition. Adding to the old-fashioned charm, local civic organizations host ice cream socials, bringing neighbors together to enjoy music, fellowship, and community spirit.
Bonner Springs Rotary recently enjoyed a wonderful summer evening hosting the ice cream social, serving ice cream and sweet treats during the Bonner Springs City Band concert at Kelly Murphy Park. The event raised $400, with all proceeds benefiting Children's Mercy Hospital in support of mental health awareness.
