Thanks to 40 amazing Rotarians, the District 5710 $1 Million Challenge is closing in on $3 MILLION! This campaign to raise funds for the Rotary Endowment continues until June 30. If you would like to join us at the Campaign Celebration July 30, please make your gift or pledge of $10,000 or more to the Endowment Share Fund right away. You may be the person to put us over $3 Million!!!
Endowment Share gifting is vital to the long-term financial wherewithal of the District as share dollars keep coming back to the district year after year. And those dollars allow the district to support all the clubs’ annual projects, global grants here in the district and around the world, and our global scholars and peace scholars and so much more.
In other news, a District 5710 initiated Global Grant was just approved by Rotary International. This grant will provide equipment and training for 40 women to learn to make reusable sanitary pads in Mengo Kisenyi and Bwera, Kasese, Uganda. The award is in the amount of $92,484 and will enable women and girls to work and get education otherwise not available to them. You made this happen with Annual Fund giving and Endowment Share giving.
