This month our club partnered with the Leavenworth Lions Club to work at Harvesters-the Community Food Network in Lawrence to pack meals for senior citizens. This joint effort will help provide nutritious food to our communities and address the root causes and impact of hunger.

Happy to have recently hosted District Governor Michelle Sink (Rotary International District 5710-Eastern Kansas) this month (center, front row); to her right is President Greg Nash, to his right is President-Elect Rick Dickerson; to her left is President-Nominee Marcia Irvine.
Also pictured with DG Michelle are past district governors (with President Greg & DG Michelle, center) left to right PDGs Tamara Sevcik, Bill Kromer, Marjorie Barker, and John Donovan. President Greg also presented DG Michelle with some local goodies from the Kansas Country Store and a bouquet of sunflowers. There is a whole lot of combined leadership here!

It was great to hear from Father Dundery about the water well project we funded (with help from others in the district) in Ghana at the Madonna Prep School last year. Also pictured is Father Dundery with his sister, Sister Stella, who spearheaded this project on the ground in Ghana. President Greg presented both of them with our club banner; on Sister Stella's left is past president Larry Martin.
