Celebrating Outstanding Club Excellence Across District 5710

Congratulations, Marysville Rotary!

One of the highlights of our recent District Conference was presenting the 2025–2026 Governor’s Cup to the Marysville Rotary Club!

Congratulations to Club President Max Searcy, his leadership team, and every Marysville Rotarian!

Through membership growth, strong member engagement, generous support of The Rotary Foundation, and meaningful service, Marysville demonstrated what an outstanding Rotary club can accomplish.

We are tremendously proud of you!

Recognizing Our Other Top Clubs

Congratulations also to our four other highest-ranking clubs and their 2025–2026 presidents:

  • Tied for Runner Up: Leawood — Rod Pemberton
  • Tied for Runner Up: Topeka South — Cassandra Taylor
  • 4th Place: Leavenworth — Caroline Webster
  • 5th Place: Shawnee Mission — Barbara Jones

Thank you to these club presidents, their leadership teams, and members for their exceptional accomplishments!

How Is the Governor’s Cup Determined?

The Governor’s Cup is based on objective, measurable results—not subjective judgments.

Step 1: Qualify for Consideration

Clubs must first earn the Rotary Club Excellence Award by achieving and recording at least 13 goals in Rotary Club Central. This year, 24 of our 40 clubs (60%) qualified! The highest percentage of 16 districts in our Zone 29!

Step 2: Rank Clubs on Five Key Metrics

Eligible clubs are evaluated on five measures aligned with Rotary’s Action Plan:

  1. Membership Growth — Net increase in members

  2. Member Engagement — Percentage of members engaged

  3. Annual Fund Giving — Contributions per member

  4. PolioPlus Giving — Contributions per member

  5. Public Image — Number of media stories highlighting club projects

The top three clubs in each category earn points. The club with the highest total wins the Governor’s Cup!

Celebrating Excellence Across Our District

The Governor’s Cup recognizes more than numbers. It celebrates clubs that set meaningful goals, engage their members, strengthen Rotary, and make a lasting impact.

Congratulations again to Marysville and all our top-performing clubs! Thank you for demonstrating what Rotarians can achieve when we work together to grow Rotary and serve others.
