Ryadi Adityavarman

Rotary Peace Fellow - 2016

Ryadi Adityavarmanis an Associate Professor of Interior Architecture and Design and was named a Rotary Peace Fellow in 2016. He completed the Professional Development Certificate program at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, where he explored how design, social justice, and humanitarian initiatives can contribute to crisis recovery. During his fellowship, he participated in post-earthquake reconstruction projects in Nepal and helped build refugee settlements in Thailand.

Ryadi brings a multidisciplinary background in interior design, architecture, and historic preservation, along with extensive experience in international design projects. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Parahyangan and completed additional formal studies in Interior Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Institut Teknologi Bandung and in Anthropology at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Universitas Padjadjaran.

He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado and a Master of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Texas. He also completed graduate coursework in Environmental Building Systems at Virginia Tech.

Currently, Ryadi serves as an Associate Professor at Colorado State University. Previously, he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Interior Architecture and Product Design at Kansas State University. Throughout his career, he has also taught at several nationally recognized interior design and architecture programs, including the Savannah College of Art and Design, Texas Tech University, Syracuse University, and Wentworth Institute of Technology.
