Mental Health Task Force Update
The D5710 Rotary Action Group for Mental Health Initiatives (RAGMHI) met on October 20. There are now nine clubs actively involved in the initiative. The group sponsored a table in the House of Friendship at the District Conference and gave away a lot of mental health merchandise. Kaley Conner, D5680 joined co-chairs Randy Peterson and Robbin Cole at the conference on a mental health panel.
The RAGMHI is promoting four different mental health themed books which the Leavenworth Club has been distributing to children and adults in its area. Our DG Line is encouraging all clubs to distribute and read two of the books to students in their localschool districts: The Energy Bus for Kids by Jon Gordon and How Full is Your Bucket for Kids by Tom Rath and Mary Reckmeyer. Both books are available through Amazon. What a great way to promote literacy, mental health and Rotary!
